Recent events that have been unfolding seem so obvious, yet there are those who can’t or won’t see the truth because they can’t see through the fog of hatred.

Was Jimmy Kimmel fired because of what he said about Charlie Kirk’s assassin? Was his Free Speech not protected? Yes and No.

His words affect his audience ratings. He was no longer funny, and with such low ratings, the affiliate stations could no longer sell the product. They opted not to air him and put something else in his place. Since ratings equal dollars and profits, losses were occurring.

It’s common knowledge that if a show isn’t performing up to its potential, then that show will be canceled for another show hoping to create more interest.

For the Left to make such a stink out of a late-night show’s firing and creating outrage about Free Speech is ridiculous. If Free Speech is so important to the Left, then why is there so little support for the senseless killing of Charlie Kirk? His Free Speech got him killed. Kimmel’s Free Speech got him low ratings, which got him fired…not killed.

As the GM for several radio stations, I made the decision to change personalities from time to time because of low ratings. The low ratings were often caused by what they said…Free Speech. If the audience reacted negatively, then guess what, their ratings reflected that and a change was made.
