Interference

Many of us watch Sports teams and/or individual sports. Each Sport has its own rules and regulations overseen by various referees and umpires.

Let’s face it, mistakes are made. Now, with the digital ball and strike zone being able to be questioned by each side two times, many calls are overturned. By the use of slo-mo

cameras, they can pinpoint calls that the visual eye misses. Mistakes occur in every sport.

In the recent soccer (football) match between the US and Bosnia, a red flag was called on one of the best US players. This meant an automatic one-game suspension and removal from the game. Whoever saw the game could see the foul was accidental, and the red flag seemed unfair.

Should a higher power interfere by calling attention to the unfairness and ask to review it? Should we interfere with other bad calls to review? There will always be mistakes made, just like in life.

The intentions were probably well meant, but the results will be felt for some time.
