Is it time for another NEW DEAL?
President FDR launched his New Deal program between 1933 and 1939 to rescue the country from the Great Depression. He created the CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps), WPA (Work Progress Administration), FDIC (Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation), and Social Security.
These were massive government programs,
public works, and financial reforms which helped to recover from the Great Depression.
It feels like the DSA (Democratic Socialists of America) movement toward Socialism/Communism is snowballing with our young people, and that some rethinking needs to be addressed.
If people are saying that they can’t keep up with inflation or they can’t afford to buy a home or that repaying their school debt is hurting them…can we afford to ignore their pleas? By ignoring them, are we helping to create animosity in the current government? Without just giving them free stuff, what can the Republicans do to give them hope in Capitalism against the evils of Socialism/Communism?
There are so many problems with the US that extend beyond our borders that need to be addressed, but the needs inside our borders should come first.
In other words, if you and the world are hungry, who should be fed first?
