Offense vs. Defense
I was thinking that in sports, you need both offense and defense to make a winning team. Why is it that most teams after winning the coin toss choose to receive the ball ( defense ) rather than start on offense? For one, they get the ball first in the second half.
This led me to think about the Wars the US has been involved in since WWII. In WWII, the entire country rallied behind our efforts to win the war. Why are we not rallying behind the country in the war (conflict) against Iran? Our country was split during the Korean War and the war in Vietnam. The differences in the four wars were that when we were defending, we got total support, but when we took the offensive, we had mixed support. Sometimes you have to be on offense to curtail events from getting out of control
Should we have waited until Iran enriched its uranium, built an A bomb, and threatened our ally, Israel, and the United States? You know they would use it.
In the case of Iran, I think we should receive more support from the Democratic Party, as they are weakening our country (team)
