Sportmanship
For those of us who love sports or are interested in how the game is played, sportsmanship is very important. Obviously, both sides, in individual sports, the game is played to win…and rules are provided to oversee that the rules are followed…often ignored in Politics.
When an opponent gets knocked down and is helped up by the opponent, good sportsmanship is shown and appreciated.
We all want to win, but in politics, where do you see any semblance of sportsmanship? Not too often, I think. It’s more like in the animal kingdom…kill or be killed.
When revered conservative, Charlie Kirk, was murdered, there was little sympathy from the Left…no remorse for the death of a husband and a father of two young daughters. No sportsmanship, no empathy.
I often hear within the rhetoric of both Republicans and Democrats, “My esteemed colleagues”, etc. If they are so esteemed, why do they not show it?
Throughout life, we meet good sports and bad sports. Shouldn’t our government lead the way with better sportsmanship?
