The Blame Game
It’s not my fault, it is the Democrats’
It’s not my fault it’s the Republicans’
I always thought it was interesting to note that when newly hired executives came into a new position, they often blamed their predecessors for the mess they inherited. Guess what..if it weren’t for that, they wouldn’t have been hired in the first place.
Every Presidential change in administration usually comes with a mess to fix. No need to blame their predecessors’ old regime because that’s why a change was made for a new administration. Yes, there are messes to be fixed, and that’s the reason Donald J.Trump was elected…to fix Biden’s messes, which I believe he has for the most part.
I remember my first job as General Manager of XTRA and KOST Radio. The owner, Gordon McClendon, said
I had to do two things: make a profit and never put in a computer.
The prior GM had shown a loss of over $1,000,000 (this was in 1968). There was no need to blame him because his loss created my gain. Just for information, we made a net profit of around $2,000,000 in our first year…and I put in a computer (which I created), which greatly helped make the profit.
So, the next time you want to blame someone, think about the opportunity for someone or something else…negative factors create positive opportunities.
