Threatening

Seeing the news and events of today and the past, I see that people feel threatened by change.

As an example…In the WNBA, a primarily black women’s professional basketball league, a white woman, Caitlin Clark, has upset the status quo. They feel threatened and did not even vote her onto the All-Star team, despite the fans voting her number one. Caitlin has single-handedly raised the interest and profile of women’s basketball.

It is much like when Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier in the MLB in 1947…except in reverse. The white players felt threatened.

Or when Tiger Woods broke all records in the PGA…a mostly white sport.

Black vs White is an age-old competition where one or the other is upsetting the applecart.

Remember when Jesse Owens (a black man attending Ohio State) beat Hitler’s best white athletes in the 1936 Olympics and won four gold medals.

Change is inevitable, and the only thing you can do is accept it positively or continue to fight a losing cause.

Some current news that is threatening are: TARIFFS, AI, and CRYPTOCURRENCY, to name a few. Sometimes it is hard to accept when you don’t totally understand the concept.
