Respect

Watching the USC vs Oregon football game yesterday left me upset and dismayed at the disrespect shown by USC.

Early in the first quarter, Oregon QB, Dante Moore went into a slide and was hit with targeting by Desman Stephen’s. Dante Moore was immobile for several minutes and had to be carried off in an ambulance, after a long delay. Desman Stephen’s, USC defensive back was expelled from the game.

Whether Moore went into his slide too late and Stephen’s could not stop is questionable. But what is not questionable is the fact that Desman Stephen’s was seen smiling and dapping it up with teammates, showing disrespect and a lack of humanity.

This goes on too often, not only in sports, but in the world at large. We all want to win but should be respectful of our opponents.
