You Bet

Checking online, I see some 24 different betting companies, including Caesars SportsBook, Fan Duel, ESPN Bet, Draft Kings, Bet MGM, and Bet365. There are National and State lotteries to entice you to bet money to win huge dollars at impossible odds.

You can be arrested for gambling with money in house games. The Federal and local governments want you to gamble on their games. Local state lotteries say they use the money for education. Do they tell you how much and where? Are they accountable for their expenditures?

Gambling has always been a part of the human experience, but now it is being encouraged for tax dollars. Like drugs and alcohol, gambling can be addictive, with groups like AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) and GA ( Gamblers Anonymous ).

It’s all about the money. Betting apps are a big source of advertising revenue for the Media and for Taxes. What was once prohibited is now desired…for profits and for Government budgets.

The real scary thing is the Betting Apps advertising in sports: baseball, football, basketball, etc. It creates too many opportunities to cheat, like insider trading.
